Serves 2
Ingredients:
1 tube of egg tofu
Some minced meat
1 teaspoon of minced garlic
Marinate ingredients for minced meat
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 tablespoon of corn flour
2 tablespoon of light soya sauce
1 tablespoon of rice wine
Seasoning sauce
1/2 tablespoon of tomato sauce
1/2 tablespoon of chilli sauce
1/4 teaspoon of sugar
1/4 teaspoon of dark soya sauce
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 teaspoon of rice wine
100ml of hot water
Method
- Marinate minced with all the marinate ingredients and mix well. Keep into the fridge just before the day of cooking.
- Cut the tofu into 1cm thick and coat lightly with some cornflour
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and fry tofu till both side is slightly brown. Dish out and set aside. Drain off the excess oil by using kitchen towel.
- Mix tomato and chilli sauce together with the rest of the ingredients for the seasoning sauce till combined.
- Add 1 teaspoon of oilto the pan and satute minced garlic till fragant. Add in minced meat and continue to fry for another 2 min or until meat is throughly cooked.
- Pour in the seasoning sauce and add in fried tofu. Stir fry a few times and let it cook till sauce slightly thicken.
Tip: to make this dish more appetizing, you may add in some chopped spring onion.
