Steamed salmon with lemon

I have been wanting to try out some steamed salmon recipe until I come across a recipe which indicates one of the ingredients was lemon. Found it very interesting and decide to give it a try. Surprisely it was so appetizing and the sauce can pour over some white rice. Wuhoo~ The lemon taste does goes well with salmon and help to get rid of the fishy smell. My favourite part will be the salmon skin as it's the most delicious part.

Serves two

Ingredients:-
1 piece of salmon fillet
1/2 tbsp of soy sauce
pinch of salt & pepper
1 spring onions cut into four inch
3 slices of ginger
1 lemon
1 tsp of sesame oil

Method:-

  1. Throughly rinse salmon in cold running tap water and pat dry.
  2. Put the fillet in about 9 inch shallow heatproof bowl.
  3. Drizzle the soy sauce, salt and pepper over salmon.
  4. Sprinkle with spring onions and ginger.
  5. Cut the lemon into half. Use one of the half to obtain lemon juice and the other half just cut it into 3 slices. Put the sliced lemon over the fish and drizzle the juice over the fish.
  6. Add in some water in the steamer and bring water to boil.
  7. Put in the bowl of salmon and cover to steam for 10 mins.
  8. Use a fork to poke through the fillet and if the fork can go through means it fully cooked.
  9. Remove from the steamer and drizzle sesame oil over the salmon before serving.
