This is probably one of my favourite vegatable when I eat mixed rice or noodles. I feel is very crunchy and goes well with almost everything like carrot, shrimp etc.. You can cook it in soups too!
I often match with noodles, fried beehoon or beehoon soup. You can say that I am a cabbage lover too!
This recipe is so simple, easy and nutrious to prepare at home.
Ingredients
Half a cabbage - shredded about 0.5cm thin.
1/2 medium size carrot - shredded thinly
2 tbsp of dried shrimp - soaked & drained
1 clove of garlic - chopped
Seasoning
Dash of salt & sugar to taste
Method:-
- Stir fried shrimp to remove excess water. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil.
- Stir fry shrimp till frangant before adding garlic.
- Stir fried garlic till fragant as well and add in carrot. Stir fry for 1 min.
- Add in cabbage, salt and sugar. Stir well and simmer for about 3 to 5 mins or till cabbage is soften.
Some small kitchen tips: sugar helps to prevent vegetable for turning yellow during process of cooking.
