Stir fried cabbage

This is probably one of my favourite vegatable when I eat mixed rice or noodles. I feel is very crunchy and goes well with almost everything like carrot, shrimp etc.. You can cook it in soups too!

I often match with noodles, fried beehoon or beehoon soup. You can say that I am a cabbage lover too!

This recipe is so simple, easy and nutrious to prepare at home.

Half a cabbage - shredded about 0.5cm thin.
1/2 medium size carrot - shredded thinly
2 tbsp of dried shrimp - soaked & drained
1 clove of garlic - chopped

Seasoning
Dash of salt & sugar to taste

Method:-

  1. Stir fried shrimp to remove excess water. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil.
  2. Stir fry shrimp till frangant before adding garlic.
  3. Stir fried garlic till fragant as well and add in carrot. Stir fry for 1 min.
  4. Add in cabbage, salt and sugar. Stir well and simmer for about 3 to 5 mins or till cabbage is soften.
Some small kitchen tips: sugar helps to prevent vegetable for turning yellow during process of cooking.
